Swift Hesperange, first company from Luxembourg

We give a warm welcome to Swift Hesperange, the first Lussenburghese company to participate in the Canavese Cup. Swift Hesperange was founded in 1916 and after many years in the top division, the club currently plays in Eirepromotioun, the second division of Luxembourg. The greatest success in the club’s history is certainly the victory of the National Cup in 1990, followed by its participation in the European Cups (Cup Winners’ Cup 1990/91), where it faced the Poles from Legia Warsaw. The first team plays in the Holleschbierg stadium, which can accommodate 4100 spectators. The club has an important youth sector, with eleven youth teams ranging from U7 to U19 (all entered in the organised championships of the Luxembourg Football Federation) who play on a natural grass pitch and one synthetic pitch.
